Ok last night my dumb *** neice went into walmart, and stole something from around the pharmacy area? I think it was like condoms or something but anyways, she picked it up walked around, pocketed it, walked out the door type thing. She left it in the bicycle isle( the box)? theres hardly any cameras around there because everythings tied up anyways. So i was wondering is her stupid a-- going to get in trouble? And yes i punished her. Badly. haha.

  1. If they didn't catch her walking out then its too late. She will get caught. Everyone does at some point. You should have made her bring them back. I did that with my daughter. She was 13 and I caught her hiding a bunch of stuff she stole from Target. I drove her thieving *** back to the store, called out the manager and made her give it back. They can't do anything at that point. She never did it again.

  2. maybe

probably not since it wasnt really worth all that much

but beside punishment, someone needs to find out why she did it, especially condoms (wtf?). maybe she wants attention, or is planning something without the money fund it (s*x)

  3. i don't know if i understand what you are saying, so she took it and just put it in a different isle ?i don't think you can get in such bad trouble but if you took it out of the store you can.

sry. if i didn't help i am kinda confused !

  4. No, she should not get into trouble.  If she was, they would have said something as she was leaving the store.

  5. thanks for the 2 points

  6. No, she won't get into trouble....first of all without catching her there at the scene just about any place would have an impossible amount of things that would cause enough doubt that no one could punish her, (legally), including many other shoppers in the store that could have left that there.  Secondly, Wal-Mart has decided to quit pursuing minor theft in shoplifting, it was deemed too expensive to sue someone over less than real money, (think about $200 but can't remember for sure).  So, in summation, no, she won't get into any more trouble than you cause her....WHOO HOO  ;)

  7. you mean she didnt get caught? i thought they have this anti-theft detector at the exit.

if she didn' t get caught on the spot she's probably gonna be fine. in walmart  they catch quite a few ppl every day and won't bother to check the video tape(if that's what you're worrying abt)

  8. Well, if they didn't catch her then and say something, she probably got away without anyone noticing- they would've taken action had they picked up on her thievery.  Good for you on punishing her- shoplifting is morally wrong, and the consequences can be grave- fines, jail, community service...it could really cause her problems in life were it on her record.

  9. Well, she has gotten away with it so far, so unless they do have cameras and recognize her upon return, she should be fine.  I do have a friend who got caught shoplifting at Wal-Mart and is banned for life, but she got a job at a US Cellular in Walmart and still shopped there regularly.  I don't believe any charges were pressed.
