Ok I am going to to work from 8am - 5.30pm and then again from 10pm - 6am. This will be over a six day period in the full week Monday to Saturday. Basically taking in to consideration dinner and travelling to and from work I will only get a maximum of 4 hours sleep a day being a 24hr day. My question is will I be ok doing this? How can I help my body adjust and stay awake for this long period. And I plan to do this for 1 year what could I expect at the end of this year health wises?

  1. Blimey Dave you must be skint!!!!

  2. Basically mate you could run into insomnia which could then lead to death. You may think am taking the p**s but seriously look it up... You need your sleep otherwise you will be fallin asleep at work.

  3. im 15. BUT,

my dad was working (used to) from 4am till 12am and he had to get up at like 3.30am. and it didn't do him any good at all, & he was always moody, he had black circle under his eyes, and he could barely walk and sleep, which made him tired even more, i'm telling you, you need to cut the hours out, so it can make you have eight hours sleep, thats the maximum sleep humans should have! also, eating green leafy vegs and a high fibre diet for breakfast can boost your energy. & avoid coffee during the day.

  4. If you drive to work you will probably crash by falling asleep at the wheel long before a year has passed

  5. well, I wouldn't recommend doing that all the time :] but if it's 6 days only it should be fine, if you actually get those 4 hours of sleep (I assume you'll be tired enough for that). Just drink a lot of coffee and coke :]

maybe you should see a doctor to ask him if he has any ideas how this will affect you and what you can do
