    Hope you enjoy the trip!

  2. Check out the websites:

  3. Well, on holiday, all the shops (included department stores) are closed. But you mention Dec 6 to 10th: I´m sure the big department stores will be opened because Dec 8th is the saint day for thousands of Spanish women ("Inmaculada" is a common name here and that´s their saint day; Spanish people do celebrate saint days quite a lot)); big stores like El Corte Inglés will be opened as they sell a lot that day. Maybe everything will be closed on Dec 6th (our constitution day). It´s a holiday for school children and university students from 6th (Wednesday) to the next Monday (11th); but all the shops will be open on the 7th (Thursday) and 9th (Saturday). Sunday, 10th,  shops will be closed.

Museums won´t close just because it´s a holiday; they have their opening and closing times. If you already know which museums or the cities you are going to, you can check general information on the Internet. Here you have an interesting site for Spanish museums
