About taking birth control?

I was wondering is there a safe type of birth control i can take without any side effects or what ever because i wish i thought of this like maybe 2 years ago...lol..but anyways i want to take birth control so i can deal with my period 4 times a year. So if there is a safe kind of birth control what's the name of it and what store would have it?..I'm in California.

Abstinence is the only birth control without side effects and 0% risk for getting pregnant.  Any medicinal birth control is going to have some side effects/ health risks involved.

All B.C have about the same side effects. You should ask your doctor for a pill with low hormones though. I take pills for the same reason you stated and I like it. I just take regular pills not designed for that and just skip the sugar pills. Good luck.
