The REAL reason it got pushed back is that the Writers Strike slowed production on a number of big films. Therefore, other than "Terminator: Salvation," Warner Bros. had no potential blockbusters to release next summer. They moved "Harry Potter" to July so that they could have at least two "big" movies to release during the lucrative summer season.

It's frustrating for fans, but look on the bright side...the span between "Half-Blood Prince" and "Deathly Hallows" will be that much shorter!

I've signed the petition already. Sadly, I can't send a howler.

The Harry Potter movies will do excellent in any month it will be released in. We had the original date and it was fine. WB change it as soon as it was under 100 days from it premiering. 11 months? I understand a few weeks but really, we, the Harry Potter fans, pay for the tickets, go to the midnight parties, from whatever age we were to now we've stayed with Harry 'til the very end. If only WB could see that. 'We care about our fans', yeah right WB!!!

You all need to seriously grow up and get some patience. I am a huge,  huge, huge, huge, huge fan of the "Harry Potter" films and books but the production companies, etc do what they need to do to make more money and if they feel the need to move it to the summer to gross more then they can do what they want.  I am terribly disappointed and I am still excited about it next year, I have patience.(not much but i do) I can't believe there is actually a petition for something so silly!! Please don't think I am being rude to you all that signed I just think it is just a movie and it will come out and be wonderful just be patient ok!!
