  1. Airlines have different prices, some  even charge each bag with a maximum weight of 50 lbs per bag, anything over that weight will be charge for a certain amount which ranges from $50 for the first 20 lbs over and $75 dollars for the next 20 lbs. Sports equipments have different price , more expensive than a regular bag except Air Canada Via USA -free. Remember prices varies from one airlines to another.

For Carry-ons, it will be a a total of two. One personal and a carry on or a luggage and a laptop. Otherwise they will have you check extras at the gate with fee.

  2. The final determination is up to the individual airline.  These are the general standards for the US:

Checked baggage, 50 pound limit each bag.

Carry on--most don't have a weight limit, but the size limit is generally 45 linear inches (height plus width plus depth).

  3. I know that when I flew delta airlines from seattle to vegas I had two luggages and I took on two purses and a laptop. I was over by 3 pounds so they told me I had to pay $80 but I just took my purse out and it was fine. Your luggage has to be  under 50lb.

  4. The size and weight of each bag and the number of bags you are allowed is determined by each individual air line. Go to the website of your carrier and the rules will be there. There is a difference between domestic and international.

If you want the rules for what you can take through security then go to the TSA website.

  5. luggage can't be over 40 lbs and the carry on can be only one sandwich bag of liquid carry on and also it could be one bag that isn't over stuffed and one personal item (can't  be another bag)
