why would bret hart be so angry about it if wrestling is scripted. vince and shawn pulled a little "trick" on him. i just dont see how he can be angry .. so what he lost the title without him knowing it beforehand, its not like he would be so happy and proud if he won the match anyway since its scripted

  1. bcuz it was in his home town so he lost some pride and dignitiy

something u have nothing of im guessing

  2. I Don't Understand Where Your Going With This

  3. *sigh* god it's too late for this.  You obviously don't get the meaning of holding the world title in professional wrestling.  Even if wrestling is fixed, the world title still holds prestige.  Think about it this way.  Wrestling is a business, and whoever holds that gold is the top contributor to that business's success, therefore that gold is like a medal to be awarded to the biggest draw in the company.  With it comes respect from your peers, a louder voice backstage, and an outward acknowledgment that you are the best in the industry, and that the company fully supports you being the captain of their flagship.

When Vince and Michaels decided to take this away from Bret without him being in on it, it was like a slap to the face.  They questioned his professionalism, and in turn, did something very unprofessional.  It would be like you being promoted to CEO in a company, asked to join a bigger company, only to get escorted out of your cubicle on your last day by security.  After all of Bret's hard work, loyalty, and dedication to the WWE, they essentially spat on everything he's proven that he is, ever was, and essentially defecated on his character in front of his home country.

If that didn't make you mad, I don't know what would.

EDIT: Many people here are making a common misconception that Bret was from Montreal.  He isn't.  That's like saying "Oh, Candle's From America, He Must Be From New York!" when in fact, I'm from the south.  Canada isn't one provence, people.  Bret's from Calgery, Alberta.

  4. "script" is being inform to both wrestler . But this time it only to one which is shawn micheals , Bret asked Vince if he could win the title at his home town , Vince allowed , But in the end Vince s***w him by letting shawn to

    win the match !

  5. cause it was his last match in his home town and he thought he was going out on a win but he got stabbed in the back. as if he shouldn't be angry.

  6. The Screwjob wasn't scripted. Bret Hart was supposed to retain, but Vince McMahon, HBK and the referee were all in on it that HBK would end up winning by using Bret Hart's own submission move, and in his hometown. Hart was never told about it and felt like it was a huge insult to his professionalism and who he was as a wrestler. Wouldn't you be pissed off if that happened to you, regardless if it was scripted or not?

  7. Bret is angry because he was lied to by Vince McMahon and made to look like a fool in front of his Canadian fans.  This has nothing to do with "storylines" and "scripted".  Vince McMahon, the man, lied to Bret Hart, the man.

Bret was on his way to WCW and had agreed to drop the title the following week.  He did not want to lose the title in Canada.  Vince agreed to hold off until the following week for the title change.  But as we all know, Vince (fearing that Bret would not keep his word and that he'd take the WWF title to WCW) pulled off the "Screwjob".

Bret is angry because he was lied to, in public, screwed over, in public, and made to look like a fool, in public.

  8. He got screwed kafabe.

  9. Montreal Screwjob was not scripted

  10. Shawn played no "trick" on Bret.  Vince played the "trick" on Bret.  Vince was Shawn's boss, and still is to this day.  Shawn did as he was told.  Bret was pissed because he was in Canada, where he was a hero, and a legend, even back then.  He had never given Vince ANY reason to distrust him, yet Vince DID distrust him; he thought Bret would not job to Shawn, would somehow WIN the match, or get himself DQ'ed, then show up on Nitro the next night, and toss the WWF belt in the trash, as Madusa had previously done to the WWF Women's belt.  Bret put his heart into every match I EVER saw him wrestle, and he deserved a h**l of a lot better treatment than THAT from Vince, and from the WWF.  The fact it was done in HIS country, and that HBK was involved in the match, and that HBK was told to put Bret in his OWN finisher, the sharpshooter, just added fuel to the fire.  I'm an HBK fan, but I liked Bret alot, too.  Yeah, it's all scripted, but Vince always talks about loyalty, devotion to the company, etc.  He showed no loyalty to Bret on that night, and he deserved it when Bret beat his *** after the match.
