About the war, this is old news but...is this something worth thinking about?

The largest and most expensive embassy ever built is being erected in the Green Zone in Iraq and there is evidence of at least two other monstrous bases being built elsewhere I would say this is looking rather long-term and "permanent", not very democratic or humanitarian. One of these permanent bases is on the former sight of Babylon. Babylon was awed back in the day

  1. and your question is?

If we had built a huge embassy in Iraq right after WWI maybe we would have had a better dialogue with some people in the middle east and prevented some of our later mistakes.

So, our extricating ourselves from the "mid-east" question in 1919 was totally successful, we have nothing but happy relations with the region now.

What do we move out of Iraq and they just "go away?"

  2. When our consciousness changes from attack to love, these will be transformed as well.

  3. Of course there's a base there...we have them everywhere.  We might not be at war in Iraq forever but our soldiers will be there forever...there's a difference.
