About to start on a new job ..(dilemma) pls help?

I went for an interview with the person who I will be replacing (secretary). She liked me instantly and started to explain all i will have to do and said she was confident i would manage it beautifully. i was pleased. Now I have a second interview with the actual boss (my boss to be, her boss). I want to ask for a higher salary than what she is getting, but i don't want to upset her incase she doesn't hand over properly to me out of jealousy. What should I do? I have a very good chance of getting the higher salary.. Should I ask for the higher salary to be in effect after she leaves (after my probation period is over). How do I handle this with the boss..

Wait dont ask the Boss at the interview.

If you deserve higher pay then they will give it to you anyway

That's a tough one. I think you need to wait for a couple of months after you have worked there and then bring up the issue. If you bring it up now chances are you might not get the job.
