  1. May is autumn, heading into winter. I would be prepared for anything. Auckland often can have 'four seasons in one day' although I have noticed it tends to rain at night and is fine during the day, most months (except this winter, haha).

Don't take anything for granted. Just be prepared. May would be a good month to visit... just before winter hits!

  2. May is not in our summertime.

The weather will be starting to get cooler, but the days will still have blue skies it shouldnt be raining  will still be warm enough to enjoy the sights of Auckland.

  3. the weather in May will be starting to cool down as that is actually late autumn, its definitely not summer! summer is december, january, february.

you should expect high temperatures of up to 20 degrees celsius and possible overnight low temperatures of about 10 degrees (but could be as low as 5 degrees)

Auckland is one of the rainier cities in NZ but the average number of rain days per month for Autumn is lower than both Winter and Spring (approx 11 days)

  4. Mid October when you arrive is spring and still can be cool or warm - depending on the day! Some days it may be 18-20 degrees, others more like 15 degrees.

November is often windy, but warming up - early summer. Our weather is very unpredictable, so it is difficult to be very clear. We have had a lot of rain this year which is supposed to last until the end of September - but Auckland does get quite a lot of rain. You will most likely have quite a mix of weather at that time of the year. But November should be warmer.

You would need to bring rain jackets, a warm jumper or two and long sleeved T shirts as well as short sleeved. Layers works best.

  5. that would be in the summer time. It gets pretty hot in the summer time, sometimes it rains but very unlikely in the summer time. Most days it is quite hot.
