That depends on the type of jury duty you have, the state you live in, and if you are picked to serve on a jury.

You may be asked to serve either on a grand jury (used for indicting) or on a petit jury (used to determine the outcome of civil and criminal cases).

If you are not asked to serve on the jury, then the amount of time you serve for jury duty is only one day.  However, if you are picked for a petit jury (I am unsure how a grand jury works, but you should be able to call your local court and ask them), a trial can last anywhere from one week for most civil cases to (though EXTREMELY rare) many months for a few select criminal trials.
