About where should a snowboard be up to me?

I heard its supposed to be up to my nose?

yeah, that is the general rule....but it could be different for some. It worked for me though.

You're height doesn't matter, that's only for skis and is an old rule of thumb for snowboards. Seriously, look at any snowboard company's website, you won't see one mention of height. It's all about how heavy you are and your foot size. Walk into any snowboard shop (one that doesn't sell skis will help) and they will tell you the same.

Think about it, if you are say short but are around 220ish your not going to be on the right size board from any manufacture. The flex will be all off.

Trust me, go with your weight, once you find the size range that is correct for you then you can go bigger or smaller depending on what conditions your riding, not your height.

that is just a rule of thumb that doesnt work for everyone. if you go to http://www.frostyrider.com/tips/size-gui... you can type in your information and it will give you a small range in centimeters of snowboard sizes that would be best for you.
