About working for a Cruise Line.....?

I am just wondering what anyone thinks about working on a cruise line, if anyone has any experience in that. I have heard it's a lot of work for a little bit of money, but I've also heard great things about it so any help would be greatly appreciated.

My brother did that for 6 months.  He said it came out to like $3/hour but it was worth it cause he made a lot of great friends and got to hang out at the beach. If you want to get out and live on a boat for 6 months and don't really care about the pay, then go for it.
