  1. You can only easily live in the environment you have evolved to use.  It's difficult for an air breathing mammal like you to exist (other than for a few minutes)  below sea level without technology

A fish out of water does not do well for very long.

  2. I'm not sure that the question you need answering refers to "below sea level" as under the sea.

There is land that is below sea level, such as areas of Holland and Belgium. Check a physical world map to find some examples.

I would say that places below sea level would be more prone to flooding, whereas higher areas, especially mountainous ones would be more susceptible to relief rainfall. Also, the lower areas are likely to be flatter, more fertile lands, probably used for arable farming, but that depends on the climate. These areas would probably have better transport and communications too, but the higher, steeper areas would suffer from a lack of t & c, so development is not likely to be encouraged.

    Does this help a little?

  3. Oxygen makes the difference!

Above sea level you will get sufficient amount of oxygen for your survival but below sea level, only aquatic life can survive as the oxygen level is very less.

All kinds of animals are adjustable in a typical living environment, called habitat.

Only technological means, oxygen masks, scuba wear, etc. can let you survive in the deep blue water bodies but for a limited time.

Also, you will not find your fave food items below sea level.

Additionally, we are so used to with this technically advanced world that it would be really very very hard for us to adjust in those living conditions even if we get sufficient oxygen.

And can you imagine a life where whenever you open your mouth to speak, loads of water gets in your mouth resulting bubbles from your mouth instead of words!!

  4. above sea level-not difficult to breathe

    below sea level-difficult to breathe
