Absinthe Question......?

I got my first bottle of Absinthe (strong 68) in the mail about a week ago and havent tried it yet because Im a little afraid.

Have you tried it? If so, how did it make you feel? Can you control yourself?

Strong licorice flavor... great color (especially with the

sugar and cutting it down with H2O).  No stronger than

a higher proof alcohol...  very tasty.

I have tried it, and it tastes pretty strong.  Drink a little at a time, because it will get you drunk quick.  I didn't drink a lot of it, so I just felt really relaxed and chill. Yes, you can control yourself as long as you don't drink way too much. Then you will just be drunk.  Don't be scared to try it. Absinthe is a nice experience.

I use to drink this many years ago in the Czech Republic..it is strong if you are not use to it or are a first time drinker.Also if you are not a person who can "control" your alcohol and you get drunk really fast on beer then it will knock you on your,you know what..don't be afraid of it,just try a little.

Personally,it made me feel like I was very drunk,like taking 2 vikodens and then drinking 6 beers..just drink it at home in a safe place and you'll feel warm,fuzzy and fall asleep lol.

Get a glass and put some absinthe in it.

grab a slotted spoon and lay it over the glass, and put a sugar cube in the spoon.

Pour REALLY cold water over the cube very slowly, the absithe will get cloudy.

The wormwood doesn't affect you that badly, just makes you really drunk.
