  1. Unfortunately, insurance for dental isn't all it's cracked up to be. They only give you anywhere from $1000 to $2000 a year and if you need a lot done that could go fast, even with two insurances. They pay a percentage of treatment, so if you have to have crowns, lets say.. at $975 each, and each company pays 50%, you could only get 2 done for the year. It does depend on the insurance company and what their fees are for procedured, because if you get an insurance company who's fee is $575, that would allow you to have a little more done because each procedure is less. But then, consider the amount you are paying for the insurance premiums, if you are paying yourself, you are probably paying that 1000 or 2000 maximum anyway, so you might as well not get it, or get a discount fee-for-service plan in order to just pay less for each treatment and try to finance a large treatment plan.

Do you know all that you need to have done?

  2. I would also encourage you to visit this site: www.healthsavings.ourperfectcard.com I signed up online over 5 years ago now and they have save me thousands of dollars since. From root canals, exams, xrays, cleanings…etc. all services are included in this very affordable plan. Cosmetics surgery, orthodontics and denture services are also included. They even had my benefits active in 2 hours and was able to use it the very same day. Hope this helps
