Absolute cheapest beer in twin cities (retail)?

please give quantity and cost. If it's not cheaper than $5.89/ 12 pack ($6.42 with tax), please don't bother.

I live in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, about 2 hours East of you, so maybe I've got similar prices and selection.

I can usually buy a 30-pack of Hamms, Old Milwaukee or LaCross Lager for around $12 bucks depending on location.

You can also get Milwaukee's best, Natural X, etc, for about the same price, but I can't drink that stuff.

But, if you're only buying it by the 12 pack, I think you've got about the best deal going for $5.89.
