Absorbing energy?

What are some safety features on cars and trucks that are designed to absorb energy during a collision?

I've thought of airbags, seatbelts, abs brakes and crumple zones. Are there anymore?

  1. The bumpers. In the early cars and trucks, the bumpers do no provide much of a protection because they are quite rigid. But bumpers of modern cars and trucks are much improved that there bending on collision absorbs quite an amount of energy.

  2. You've got the major ones although airbags and crumple zones are the ones that do so by absorbing energy.

    bye for now.
