Absorption of red,blue,green light by chlorophyll?

Could somebody please explain the differences in how chlorophyll absorbs red,blue, and green light?

  1. It doesnt absorb green light, it reflects it but, it takes in the red and blue, they are absorbed by the Cartionoids (i dont think thats the spelling) that pigment absobs red,blue yellow and orange.
