  1. Both, You have been abused which makes you not trust other people, which you have every right to feel that way.  However there comes a point you need to look at yourself and say "is time to trust again" so that you can enjoy the intimacy that you can have with a boyfriend. Because you don't want to let the past control too much more of your life as it already has.  This event has already consumed the past don't let it get your future.  You have endless opportunities within the future.. the world can be your oyster so cliche I know..

  2. it is probably a bit of both hun. You may feel like if you get too close the guy may hurt you in some way...

I would really advise for you to seek counseling for this if possible... whether it's a school counselor, pastor/rabbi/priest/other religious head, or if you have a university nearby they sometimes offer cheap counseling sessions so their master/PhD students can get some real world practice.

  3. Yes. That happens to alot of people.

  4. Yes............both

The idea of marriage is trusting one person to have your best interests at heart.  Find the one guy you want to love,  and who will love you for the rest of your life, work out your intimacy problems with just him, (much easier with one person than the whole world)

    Sorry

    Luck

  5. I have the same problem.  When I was younger, I made some "mistakes" and had relationships with men that weren't right-

at the time I figured WHAT THE HECK I'm used up and thrown away ANYHOW.

AND Now that I am with a husband who really does love me, I actually just range from no drive at all, to feeling unloveable.

    I don't have any answer for u-

I can only tell you that I know what u are going through.
