Question:

Abusive school teachers?

I volunteer at my son's school, and I have been witnessing, what I call physical abuse. I work with the students in the hallway, and that's when I see the abuse. This teacher, brings this child out of the classroom a few times a day. Then all you hear is, "ouch, your hurting me" this child looks to be no older than 1st grade. I see her holding this child, so he can't move. This kid is NOT out of control! I never hear you explaining why he is out in the hallway. Then I see another lady, coming into the picture. They both pick this little kid up, by his arms, and drag him down the hallway. Other students are laughing, and this little boy keeps saying, "please let me go, I will walk there, without being bad." I then see other teachers trying to intervene, by asking if they can help. The two ladies just ignore them.

I asked my husband how he would feel if this was happening to our, and he said, if our kid was misbehaving, they he would deserve it.

What do you think?

  1. Report it.

  2. It definitely needs to be looked into.  Please report it.  It is just as bad to do nothing as it is to be the one giving the abuse.

  3. Wow, I think our kids go to the same school! This type of abuse is becoming the norm in public schools. My 1st grade daughter came home and said that the teacher keeps threatening to paddle other kids in the class. I was infuriated and went to the principal.  I was then allowed to sit in her class for the day and what I saw mortified me. She screamed at these kids all day long.  With held bathroom breaks as punishment, told one child he was a waste of time becasue he did not read a sentance fast enough. And this was in front of me. Can you imagine what she does when no one was there.  She had no idea I was taking notes all day and I submitted everything to the principal and School Board. I aksed for my daughter to be transfered to a new class and they denied it. I asked for a new school and they denied it. I even had her pediatrian write a note and they still would not let her leave this class. This woman is still teaching and I have denied five requests to be transfered to five different schools. The teachers are the ones that set the example for the bullies! Good luck!

  4. that sounds strange that teacher would do that so out in the open and nothing would be done about it. Are you sure the child doesn't have some sort of issues like autism? I would speak to the principal and tell her that what you are seeing is really distrurbing to you.

  5. REPORT THIS!!!!! This is questionable conduct which sounds unprofessional at best...and abusive at worst. No child (special ed, autistic, or those without special needs, )should be treated in this manner. Contact that child's parent as well.

As for some of the other postings..... Report the school that has denied requests to move the child when you observed abusive types of behavior. Keep going up the ladder. Write to your local school board, newspaper, state school board, and governor! Put it all in writing....as one can deny verbal conversations....writing will save your rear end. Putting these complaints and concerns in writing also raises the specter of liability with the school system especially if they choose to ignore these complaints and do nothing....especially if someone gets hurt. Be aware that the hurt is not always visible physically.

Abuse in school is out!, whether it be psychological, emotional, physical, or otherwise.

Withholding bathroom breaks is a human rights violation! Tout all of this at the top of your lungs...there are actually more people WITH you, than against you! Move forth in the face of adversity, as the innocent children are depending on you. School systems do not like to air their dirty little secrets such as employment of those who abuse kids.  Not everyone in teaching belongs there. I live in eastern TN and can validate that first hand.

See our website created to address the unresponsiveness of the  seemingly inept and defunct school system in dealing with problems in schools county wide in this county. http://www.myhometownpeeps.info

There is a lot to be done and a lot of action to take. Don't leave it to someone else and leave innocent kids harmed in the wake.

  6. I would say you have absolutely no information on this situation. At the most you could contact the counselor report what you saw and move on. Its highly likely this child has some sort of issue you know nothing about and b/c of privacy laws can't now anything about.

  7. Report this.  Please.  Also, it is illegal for you not to report suspected abuse, even if it turns into nothing.

  8. You must report this teacher. Go to the principal immediately and tell him or her what you have seen. No child, even if he misbehaves, deserves to be physically abused. Your husband is wrong.

  9. i tell you what if i seen that and i dont give 2 sh*ts if its my child or someone else's that teacher is gonna get knocked on her as* and i will make sure she looses her job!
