i have 2001 honda civic DX sedan. I refilled my AC system with R134A because the AC isn't as cold as it used to be. I bought the recharge kit with gauge on it. I recharged my car following the correct instructions from the civic manual i bought and without overfilling it. now, i hear a very deep noise that lasts about 3 sec each time i turn off the AC and it sometimes make the noise when i accelerate. Do you have any idea what might have been wrong with my car? Please help. Thank you

  1. I have to believe that you have a case of "tackleing a job that YOU didn't have the knowledge and skill to handle"!  Are you *sure*, for instance, that you didn't have a leak in your a/c system large enough or in a location where *AIR* could have been introduced into the a/c piping system (Heck knows where)?  O-o-o-o!!  Bad Start!  Then, if you *Forged Ahead* -- WITHOUT COMPLETELY EVACUATING (VACUUMING OUT) EVERYTHING IN THE ENTIRE OLD PIPING SYSTEM & TESTING FOR AND *STOPPING* ALL AIR LEAKS!! -- but just continued on with connecting up your newly bought recharge kit and "faithfully following the correct instructions from the 'civic manual'  you bought -- (Oh, Jeeze!, what is this?!?); I truly am afraid that you have been led into a "car-owners *Nightmare Parking Lot* from which you *may* or *may NOT* ever recover!  May GOD ALMIGHTY *BLESS US ALL*!!

  2. I think you put a little too much in.The noise is the pressure equalizing across the o*****e when you turn it off.If the leak was not repaired the gas will slowly leak out and the noise will stop.
