Accelerating problem with a Mitsu Lancer?

The car is a 1999 mitsu lancer witht he 4g13 head and 4g15 bottom.

The car drives amamzing on flat roads but the slightest incline causes the car to loose a massive amount of power and hill causes the me to go floor board.

Yes the car is underpowered but 1300 starlet soiels drive better.
