  1. In the picture you chose it showed the black or espresso furniture and pillows as the accent color. If you wish to soften this up a bit you might consider pairing the blue with a warm cappuccino brown with chocolate accents. That will soften the stark contrast of colors, and give you a more restful spa - like feel. Diamond Vogel makes several colors that lend themselves to the blue/brown combos try #8553,8552,8551,and #8550 with your light blue. Happy Decorating, and by the way, you have great taste!

  2. I love the duvet, and I personally love the spa look. It has a very calming and restful influence on the room. Keep the walls powder blue and add accessories in the espresso finish. You can add rugs, pillows, picture frames that bring out both the blue and the espresso color.

  3. Furniture and bedding being white, keep the "color" to a toned down shade of blue to pick up the blue in the bedding. The idea of "spa" is to create a harmonious feel, nothing with a drastic POP. Keep the accessories to a minimum, add in some simple floral arrangements. If you'd like to do an accent - go next to blue on the color wheel - toward greens or purples (keeping it soft and subdued). This creates a pleasing, relaxing feel. You could carefully introduce the complimentary colors to oranges/peaches/yellows - Keep in mind that it would need to be a hint of the color so as to stay with the spa feel (ie. introduce it in your floral arrangements, a hint of it in fabrics, artwork, etc. Good luck and relax. LT

  4. Judging by the pic you have showed you should try and stick to shades of blue nothing to intense and even stick to the dark chocolate furniture as shown in the picture to make it pop. White, blue, and brown are becoming very popular as far as being paired together. Good Luck with your Project!

  5. nice pick alot of people chose blue and brown. since your not using a dark blue try a pastel brown for your accent. your wall could be a lite blue
