I want to apply to UC Irvine but I don't know if I can get it. I got all 600's on my SATs(1800 overall), right now have a 3.6 GPA, and have taken two SAT subject tests and scored 690 and 590 but I'm going to take two more subject tests this fall and know I can get around 680-700 on those. I have taken 4 AP classes and passed all with 3's. I am starting my senior year too. Also I was wondering if my senior year gpa really matters because I could take 4 AP classes this year and probably get around a 4.2 GPA but I'll be really stressed out. Or I could just take a couple AP's and and cruise through senior year with a 4.0. I also have taken 3 years of orchestra playing the violin and I'm trying to get in some community service in my spare time. Please any help would be appreciated, I was hoping my senior year I could take moderate difficulty classes, but if I need to bump up my GPA I could try.

  1. well they always say that you apply to more than 1 school. you have your reach schools ones you may not get in and then you have your safe schools, ones you know you will get in. either way. you dont know if you dont try. you seem to gave good scores and everything so i dont see why not though. and your extras seem good. but good luck to you

  2. yes u will get in, irvine is like the worst uc. besides riverside

an 1800 sat and 3.6 GPA will probably get u in as long as you have xtra curriculars
