Access Database Questions?

Two questions:

I have created my database from an excel spreadsheet, (Office 2007)

1) I want to edit the database in access, via a form, and then have the excel spreadsheet automatically update - is that possible?

2) Is there a way to make a form run as soon as you open access, so the user literally sees the form and thats all?

  1. Yes possible:

    1. Use a linked table: File -> Get External Data -> Link External Tables

    From the drop down of file type, select Excel and follow along.

    Now, if you make changes to the linked table, the data will update in Excel Automatically.

    2. Yes, you can: Tools -> Startup and set anything up any way you want.
