  1. No data file suggests the data is present on the disc but with no correct header or format, a corrupt file, or it is not a data file but a program code, system or internal maybe temporary file [a system file normally starts with a dollarsymbol]. The file could be from a different operating system or version. If it is the first possibility, then a data recovery specialist may be able to recover the data if it is an important data file
