  1. Hi

I have just compleasted my access to higher education for health.  As far as i know all unis except access courses and they love access students.  I am 36 and just going to start my 3 year nursing degree at uni and I got expelled from main stream school when i was 15 for being so naughty, so go for it.  Check out Kingston or something nearer you...good luck :)

  2. Check that your Access course is 'kite marked' - that shows that it is of a certain standard. Most unis will take an access course, the only ones who might be a bit fussy are oxford, cambs etc. But there are loads of places to study in London and although you say you cannot travel out of London there are places you could commute to from London.

A lot of colleges have links with local universities where you area guaranteed a place if you pass the access course.

  3. I did an Access to HE course. Every university I looked at took people who had an access course.

If you're concerned, have a look at the entry requirements for some of the universities that you are planning on going to just to make sure. It will be fine, Access courses are a widely accepted qualification.
