  1. Go to Start->Run->Type "cmd" (without the quotes) and in the black window that appears type ipconfig. The address is next to default gateway.

    dang too late

  2. Router Brand and Model??

  3. full instructions and diagrams for your model here

    http://www.portforward.com/english/route...

if the password has been changed from the default ( factory settings)

hold down the reset button with a pin for 20 seconds or so to reset to factory settings

    Router passwords here :  http://www.routerpasswords.com/

    Out of interest

for linksys its  192.168.1.1 for log on

for  dlink and smc  its  192.168.0.1

those are the most common for home routers

if in doubt go the manuf tech support site

  4. Make sure your pc is using dhcp then just plug your computer in and see if it gets an IP address. GO start -> run -> cmd -> ipconfig. Have a look at the gateway address and then use that.

If it doesn't get an address, look for a reset button on the router and press it in. That will set it back to factory and turn on dhcp.

  5. 1. Start

    2. Run

    3. Type: cmd

    4. Enter

    5. Type: ipconfig /all

    6. Enter

    7. Look at the IP beside "default gateway"

    8. Done.

  6. if you have windows vista it's easy!  Just click start and network.  once all the devices are loaded just rightclick your router and click "view device webpage".  other than that, you will have to go into the command line like someone has already suggested.
