I was driving West approaching the stoplight and then slowly turning NorthI do so believe doing nothing wrong, even though prior the accident had received a red light as a stoplight signal. By law, yielded to the light at a complete stop…looked left with no cars in a distance, right and then forward seeing the driver that hit me in the process before the incident had actually occurred. I believe I did this in an approximately five seconds. Seeing the vehicle on the other side not moving then continued on at the same time giving the car some gas to turn right and am sure stayed in my lane. Driving for a short few seconds, next thing I know I have a car penetrating my side of my car . After that, thinking the right thing to do is repositioning my car onto the right side of the road with so doing this eliminating the evidence that I was in my lane at the time of the incident and moved around 20 feet ahead and to the right side of the road. I only did so because the first thing that came into mind was safety and to further put away risk of another accident and to not block the flow of the oncoming traffic. The other driver involved in the accident left her vehicle in position but was not the original position of the accident. Next, I got out of my vehicle and ran to the other driver to see if she was okay. Both of us waited in our vehicles about ten minutes until Officer Walker arrived. We both repositioned our cars further ahead and talked to Officer Walker individually. With myself first, he listened to my perspective thoroughly. I had told him that I had taken a right turn and obviously been hit and he informed me that from the evidence that he saw, which the damage on the vehicles and the other vehicles positioning that it was myself at fault. I do not think so cause how could she have been perfectly in her lane without hitting me.Also,Looking at the damage done to my car with her car hitting mine from the drivers rear side I do not feel like I am at fault because with the angle of the damage is done, it is very incapable for me to turn such a wide turn from the complete stopping position I was in. I myself had taken a slow right turn, which may have been a slight problem that led to the collision, or else the outcome would have been my vehicle being rear-ended.

When I talked to the other driver, she had told me she had a green light but that means by Oklahoma State Traffic law, you are required to yield and I also believe that I was already a good distance ahead so in fault it is the person behind my vehicle that hit me and should have been actually following a safe distance

If I was in the improper lane when I turned during my stop, I was in front of her and also do not see how she could not have spotted me doing such unlawfully and slowed down herself thus not being my own fault.

She was on the opposite side of the road turning left onto the same street I was on. There was also a slight detail i forgot to mention to the officer which was that i think i may have saw her smoking and driving. I haven no idea if that was relevant or not but would like to know some feedback to me question, thanks.
