if i am practicing driving in a car without a license (im over 18) and i hit something (not car and no one was hurt) will my insurance cover it? I have allstate insurance full coverage

Also, since this happened in ct with me driving with my parent (who has had their license for over 4 years), it was legal for me to drive.

Im in a driving class as well - i dont have a learners permit but i dont need one in ct since im over 18

it was raining and the car skid

will my insurance cover the damage to the car??

  1. Yes--- if you have Collision Coverage on the vehicle- it should pay for the damage to the car.

If you do not have Collision Coverage -you are out of luck (as far as the damage to your car goes).

Sounds like the car hydroplaned and you hit a fixed object. This will be considered an at fault accident. Your rates could go up.

Your agent may be able to give you an idea of how much of an increase it would be.

  2. The car didn't skid you let it skid.

There are plenty of big parking lots to drive around in.

Stay off the road and don't kill me.

  3. idk but i would say yes as long as your not required to have a learners permit then yes they should cover it.

  4. yes - as long as your on the policy or you had permission to drive at the time of loss.  it doesn't matter if you don;t have a license

  5. Auto policies only cover licensed drivers (and those with permits).

The insurance company does not have to pay the claim.  If they pay, they will have grounds to cancel the insurance because you are not named on the policy and are driving without a license.
