a friend was walkin up to a store and a car was parked in the no parkin zone blockin the entrance to the store so he had to go behind the car not knowing the car was occupied the vehicle backed up hittn him and running onto his foot . a employee of the store heard the woman say she put the car in drive but it went in rev. he called the store and reported it is the store liabile for not seriously inforcin the no parkin in the no parkin zone he suffered minor injuries nothin life threaten but he walks with a slight limp plus he complains if he stands to long he did go to the hospital and also he reported the acccident to his ins. they covered his med pay but the store is askin a lot of ? about his ins

  1. the driver of the car would be responsible.  hopefully you got her car insurance information.

    I do not think the store would be responsible because she was not really 'parked' there if she was still in the car.  that's considered 'stopping' or 'idling'.
