Accident whose fault?

i was pulling into the bank and there was a car in front of me. they pulled into a spot and put their car in reverse but didnt back up. as i started passing by they began to slowly back up and they backed up into the side of my car. is this my fault or theres?

Since they were reversing, and obviously not using due care and attention while performing this maneuvre, they are at fault. However ,unless you have a witness,good luck trying to prove it.

maybe you should wait until you are sure their car isn't moving and that it isn't going to crash into your car next time.

theirs.  they need to look behind them before they pull out.  but if they were already pulling out and you hit them, then its your fault.

Well...I'm sorry to say this , but technically it's yours...beacuse if they already put their car in reverse , then you should have seen the white lights and not move until the other car was done or the lights go out.

It's their fault unless you were breaking a law in the process -- e.g. you were speeding.

Their fault.  They are supposed to look before backing up.

The fault is theirs. You have the right of way. When backing out of a parking space, the cars and people behind you always have the right of way.
