I tried system restoring like 50 times on different dates and it won't work. It just says no files have been changed when im done restoring it.

It won't let me download sp3 it says i need "proplus.msi"

I don't have a windows xp cd. I just bought the laptop and it came with it.

I have to download ie 8 because ie 7 doesn't work and ie 8 sucks!

How can i add the programs back to my computer without the windows xp cd??

PLEASE HELP!

  1. Well, first of all, how the h*** did you "accidentally "delete" accessories/utilities and Internet Explorer?

Second, they are integral parts of Windows and you CAN'T delete them.

Third, go back to Windows Components and put the checkmark back by Accessories/Utilities, then add the checkmark by IE. Then close the control panel and restart the computer so the new settings will be accepted.

Fourth - IE 8 is for web developers not for the average user. IE7 sucks! With no more expertise than you have, stick with IE6.

Fifth - XP SP3 does not contain any remarkable changes from SP2. You need to leave well enough alone and stop s******g up your computer!

Sixth - You can't "restore" 50 times. XP won't let you!
