Accidentally slept in contacts and want to know whats the best way to re-coop my eyes?

a few times i've slept in my contacts by accident and want to know the best way to re-coop my eyes. typically, i'd remove my contacts and soak them in saline solution for a while before putting them in (usually during my morning shower). is there a specific amount of time that should be allowing your eyes to re-coop?

As long as this is not a nightly habit, a few times is nothing to worry about.  This happens to everyone.  I do the EXACT same thing as you, and I've never had a problem putting them back in after a shower.  Whatever feels best for you.

its not a big deal if youve slept in your contacts a few times.... i sleep in my contacts every night. as long as you clean them, and take them out for a few hours a week, youre fine.

I usually give them a day but that's just me....I may go for weeks without them or for days with them in I know I'm bad

i have two week disposables,  i sleep with them in every now and then, by accident,  usually for me, i just take them out in the morning, rinse them off and put them right back in.  how do your eyes feel after your morning shower?  if your eyes don't bother you, sounds like your eyes had enought time to re coop

You should never sleep with your contacts. Sleeping for a few hours with them is ok (like in an afternoon rest) but you should never sleep with them overnight. If you do fall asleep with them overnight, I would let the eyes rest for a day or two. Either way, there's no reason to be alarmed if you've only slept with them a few times.

I sleep in my contacts all the time and never have a problem with my eyes. As for Recooping.. i would think a couple of hrs actually.

I use Bausch&Lomb RENU MultiPlus Lubricating and Rewetting Drops. It happens rarely that I fall asleep with my contacts in but these work almost instantly.
