I went to use my contact email address from my facebook account of over 2 years for a new account for someone. I didn't realize this was disable my original account. However, it doesn't even say disable or anything, I can't access it at all! When I realized I couldn't get back in because I used my personal contact email for another account, I got rid of the other one, thinking it'd bring my original back. Now that my account has no registered email I have no way of logging in! My friends can't click on my name anymore nor can I search my self.

I read similar stories of this happening and they can reactivate it because it technically can never be permanately deleted. Is this true?

It's a really really horrible and emotional time for both me and family and I have family contacts and personal funeral information and photos I need to access immediately. I am so upset and need to do anything to get this account back asap. I've emailed for the last 3 days, how long will it take and are they going to have a problem getting all my things back? Since really it's saying my email address is unregistered and it's nothing is associated with my old account. It was all a minor accident and I am so scared and depressed. Please let me know how to fix this and if they will and how long I need to wait. I can't wait any longer.

  1. Sorry, but waiting is the only thing you can do, once you're sure you have contacted facebook .

Actually, it CAN be permanently deleted. There are ways of doing that. It's a tough call in your situation though, whether it's "gone" or not.

There is nothing I, or anyone here on yahoo answers, can do to help you, nor is it in your power anymore to be able to do anything about it until facebook replies. Once they reply you will be able to take further action if possible. Also, DO NOT send them a lot of email messages. Maybe 2 at the most. Sending them more than that may put you on a lower priority list as they may consider it spam / impolite.

In the future I would also suggest you to not store all your important info on a social networking website (or any website) such as facebook.

    Best of luck.

Edit: I just re-read your post, and saw that you said "I've emailed for the last 3 days". I really hope that doesn't mean you have been sending them lots of emails for the past 3 days (by lots I mean 3-5+). If you have then you may have just put yourself on the lower priority list.

When emailling them use the email address that was once associated with your old account.
