Accidently took an extra dose, it won't hurt will it?!?!?!?!?

At age 17 and you accidently take an extra dosage of Melatonin 5mg, when it says to only take one, you'll be fine right?

Melatonin is an internal hormone secreted by the pineal gland.  It is not a drug regulated by the FDA.  It won't hurt you to take 1 extra dose, it'll probably just make you sleep really good tonight.

You'll be fine.  5mg ain't nothing to worry about.  I heard you can get some tripped up dreams if you pop about 50 mg though.  (But don't do it)

NO, DUDE. Melatonin is extremely poisonous at the unrecommended dosage. You need to get to an emergency room NOW.

I am not an expert, but I really don't think one extra dose of 5mg will hurt.  But you should contact whoever prescribed it, and let them know that you accidently took and extra dose. And ask them will there be any side effects.
