Sandrew, I tried your suggestion: Go to start>all programmes>accesories>sytem tools>system restore and choose a date in bold, not greyed out; before the day you uninstalled the driverHowever, my system restore was turned OFF. Is there any other way to restore? Or should I just go download the driver somewhere? I have VISTA Home EditionThis is what I found on my computer:Under system information / Components / Multi Media / Sound Device / This is what is listed: Name: Conexant High Definition AudioManufacturer: ConexantStatus: UnknownPNP Device:ID HDAUDIOFUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5045&SUBSYS_103C30B7&REV_1001&2F01BCB8&0&0001Under System Information / Software Environment / System Drivers The audio device listed above is NOT there. Under System Information / Software Environment / Signed Drivers It is listed as: DEVICE NAME: Conexant High Definition AudioSIGNED: Yes DEVICE CLASS: MEDIADRIVER VERSION: 4.15.0.50DRIVER DATE: 3/9/2007MANUFACTURER: ConexantINF: oem32.inf DRIVER NAME: CHDART.sysDEVICE ID: HDAUDIOFUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5045&SUBSYS_103C30B7&REV_1001&2F01BCB8&0&0001Please advise. Thanks, Ro
