My friends are I are going to the HOYS (Horse of the Year Show) in October, Friday 10th. We are staying over that Friday night. Can anyone recommend any accomodation nearby, or tell me where to avoid? We don't have a huge budget - approx. £60 per person, and we want 3 single rooms. Also, does anyone know any sites where you can get bargain deals? I got a great deal at the Crowne Plaza last year when I was at the British Open SJ for £55 for a double suite (RRP is like, hundreds lol). Thank you! Also, if anyone has any idea of the taxi fares from the hotel to the NEC we'd be grateful. If you could say how many miles the hotel/B&B is from the NEC, that too would help!!! Thanks guys!

  1. why dont u stay in birmingham its much cheaper and its like 20 mins to nec from there by train and it takes directly to the nec itself

  2. There is a great b&b in Henley in Arden called Eden End.  The owner is really nice and her rates are reasonable.  Sorry I don't have the number, but have look on the net.

  3. There is an Innkeepers Lodge in Coleshill which is approx. 4 miles from the NEC.

I have stayed there myself, it is on a very nice High Street with a number of pubs and restaurants.  There is a standard rate for all rooms which is from £49.95 per room.  Also free complimentary breakfast.

There is a free carpark at the Swan and also a new train station called Coleshill Parkway.  Approx taxi fare from Swan to NEC £8.00.
