  1. if  a team  shd  win,  the  2  forces  cannot  be  equal. 1  team  pulls  wth  greater  force. the  team  which  has  more  numbers  of  arnie  schwartznegger  lookalikes  will  win!

  2. Wind gusts

  3. Which team weighs more. F = ma, so the team that weighs more will take more force to move, and will win the competition.

  4. "According to Newton's third law, each team in a tug of war pulls with equal force on other team."

This statement (of your's) is incorrect.

Newton's Third Law states, "to every action there is an equal and opposite reaction."

It does not mean if a team X pulls a team Y then team Y will pull team X with the same force.

It would be true if the other end of the rope was tied to a pillar or something else. Then the pillar would have exerted the same (and opposite) force which the team X exerted on the pillar.
