4:1. O mankind! Be careful of your duty to your Lord Who created you from a single SOUL and from it created its mate and from them twain hath spread abroad a multitude of men and women

[3:59] The example of Jesus, as far as GOD is concerned, is the same as that of Adam; He created him from DUST, then said to him, "Be," and he was.

015.026 Verily We created man of potter's clay of black mud altered

016.004 He has created man from a sperm-drop; and behold this same (man) becomes an open disputer

019.067 But does not man call to mind that We created him before out of nothing?

096.002 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood

So,what is it actually-soul, or dust or clay or sperm or nothing or clot ????

Please answer whoever knows about it..I am so disturbed..

Salam and thanks..

  1. He made us from Mud and clay.

That's why it's important for woman to wear Burka, so when they go out in the Rain they won't get washed away and deteriorate.

  2. From Clay.

    Chapter - 6 -  AL-AN'AM - LIVESTOCK

    1) All praise be to Allah, the One Who has created the heavens and the earth and made

the darkness and the light; yet the unbelievers set up equal partners with their

    Lord.

    2) He is the One Who has created you from clay, then decreed a fixed term of

life and set a deadline for you Himself; yet you go on doubting!

  3. When Allah decided to create Adam, he ordered Angels to bring him sample of dust from every area of land. Because dust of one area doesn't have all needed mineral, proteins, vitamins etc., needed to create human body. Then he extracted the minerals, protein, vitamins and every thing necessary to build organs, bones and completed Adam's body.  Today we know that when ever we have imbalance of chemicals in our body our body doesn't function properly. Doctor tests our blodd and finds out which chemical is in short supply. Then he prescribes the medicine for the patient  that has the chemical that body is in short supply  to replenish the shortage of that particular Chemical.

Because first human was created from the extracts of dust, all the foods we eat are the product of earth. We get protein by eating the meat of  vegeterian animals, we get milk from the female cows, goats etc.,  and rest of the fruits and grains we grow on earth. All the four food groups has all chemicals out of which God made us  are available in the products of earth.

It was not possible for God to list  the chemicals and explain man of 100,000  years or more that he is born from the chemicals available in earth. because early men had no such knowledge.  So God used the simplest term that Adam was made from dust   He created

reproducing system in males and females of all maml species on earth. And they all are born from the sperm. So Allah has explained how the sperm develops gradually into a complete baby and then baby comes out in the world.

  7. Great answer Muhyi.

Adam was made from clay. The chemical components of clay/dirt are about the same as a human. Abiogenesis theory says living things started growing from the wet ground. This would surprisingly support the best scientific theory to date of how the first life started (though Buddhism's description of the origin of life is more detailed than this and is surprisingly scientifically accurate- Budhdism even describes the evolution of the eye, something Darwin didn't even think was possible, though Buddha 2,500 years ago already new this).

All people are made from a drop of sperm.

All humans (and all living beings) are made of water. Over 3/4 of a human is just water.

Created from a drop of congealed blood... this one I don't know. I don't know anything of a solidified mass of red cells (blood) to form a human. Maybe it's ovary? The most peculiar thing in quranic embryology is that it makes no mention of the ovary or its role in creating a foetus. Instead it seems to suggest that sperm is turned into a solid, whereas sperm die when they enter the ovary; it's the ovary that grows into something, not the sperm.

  8. 1.Man created from sperm and dust

The Qur’an refers to the lowly beginnings of a human being from a drop of sperm, in several verses including the following verse from Surah Al-Qiyamah:

"Was he not a drop of sperm emitted (in lowly form)"?

    [Al-Qur’an 75:37]

The Qur’an also mentions in several places that human beings were created from dust. The following verse makes a reference to the origin of human beings:

"(Consider) that We created you out of dust".

    [Al-Qur’an 22:5]

We now know that all the elements present in the human body (i.e. the constituent elements of the human body), are all present in the earth in small or great quantities. This is the scientific explanation for the Qur’anic verse that says that man was created from dust.

In certain verses, the Qur’an says that man was created from sperm, while in certain other verses it says that man was created from dust. However this is not a contradiction. Contradiction means statements, which are opposite or conflicting and both cannot be true simultaneously.

    2.    Man created from water

In certain places the Qur’an also says that man was created from water. For instance in Surah Al-Furqan it says:

"It is He Who has created man from water".

    [Al-Qur’an 25:54]

Science has proved all the three statements to be correct. Man has been created from sperm, dust as well as water.

    3.    It is not a Contradiction but a Contradistinction

Suppose I say that in order to make a cup of tea one needs water. One also needs tea-leaves or tea powder. The two statements are not contradictory since both water and tea leaves are required in order to make a cup of tea. Furthermore if I want sweet tea I can even add sugar.

Thus there is no contradiction in the Qur’an when it says that man is created from sperm, dust and water. It is not a contradiction but a contradistinction. Contradistinction means speaking about two different concepts on the same subject without conflict. For instance if I say that the man is always truthful and a habitual liar, it is a contradiction, but if I say that a man is always honest, kind and loving, then it is a contradistinction.

  11. meaning we are of this earth and of a carbon based material... and when we die, our bodies decompose back to a natural carbon based dust...

  12. there is also a place where god said that he made every living thing from water. well, it depends on what are we referring too, in some he's talking about the how adam (the father of humans or just semites, i don't know) was created as an origin, from mud, which is sand and water. then about how humans are usually created from the continuing sexual process in stages. translations are miss leading, soul could imply spirit, but i would translate "nafs" into self, which he means by adam himself, who was made from mud. clot is not accurate too.

so what we have here is two meanings: the original creating, and the daily stages of a baby from a sperm and an egg
