  1. As if rich people don't work and just have a money tree in their backyard lol

  2. yes, but i don't see what difference it makes where he gives his acceptance speech. Kennedy gave his at the LA coliseum in front of around 100,000. I'm not sure he is going to try to convince anybody he is "one of them". I think he wants to emphasize he understands what many are going through--maybe a job loss, house foreclosure, a medical catastrophe. When people vote this november, they will be voting their pocketbook, you know this. No matter what is said, or where, or by whom, people are going to be asking themselves "am i better off now than four years ago?", and they will vote accordingly. Those are the ones obama wants to connect with, and what better place to do so than in big stadium?

  3. Well, the republicans have been having wonderful success head-stomping and crotch-kicking the working man since 1980, so I think that an effort to "connect" with the working man is a refreshing idea for a change. If he can do it in a stadium or a cattle barn, who cares?  All we should care about is if he is sincere and will actually support their interests.

  4. That's what he hopes.but it won't work. We have seen through him and all we find in an empty shell. Words, just words.that's all it is.

  5. He is a skilled politician he will say whatever it takes to get your vote! people are so gullible when it comes to politics!

  6. Obama is selling, the working man is not buying.  The working man is tired of all politicians but ones that play on his emotions are the worse.  He is a good speaker we get it, but that in itself is not what being a good President is remotely being about.

  7. Yes.  It's the only group that he hasn't really pandered to, unless you're a union member.  I'm certain that he'll attempt to convince us that his economic policies will only advance us, not cost us anything and that the evil rich and only the evil rich, will be picking up the tab.

Also, if we vote for him, we'll ALL have that opportunity to live in a mansion, like he and Michelle do.

  8. Seems so. Like a rock star Obama is all show.

  9. Rock star Obama? Sounds like some folks are jealous of Obama's popularity. Hey the future president of this country is a very friendly  man.

Do you not wish that cranky pants McCain was also liked by people?

Go President Obama. Show them how is done!

  10. if you all here on Yahoo answers know what it takes to be a good president then why are you not running and why are you not standing up for our country.

  11. Considering all he knows about the working man in America it should be a short speech.

  12. Sure.  His wife set it up by portraying the family as just plain folks.  Now Barack will build on that by trying to establish a simpatico connection with the layed off assembly line worker in Toledo.  From Barackopolis, it will be pulled off.  Someone with an Ivy League education is just a regular guy but who has the experience and proven track record to lead the USA through the shoals of the next four years.

  13. Only if they are blind, deaf, and ask so democrat to drive them to the polling booth, tell them which lever to pull and never confirm this before doing so.

The furthest thing from the working class are Obama and the people that proped him up.

  14. The majority of average middle class working single men or women today are caucasion with a salary anywhere between $30,000 and est. $80,000.  Most of these people struggle every day to pay for their homes utilities, car-insurance-gas, health care and food and they probably hate their job.  The minute Obama said provide health care they heard "free" and tax the wealthy and give to the poor, they saw "$" now that's the connection because they struggle they do not believe their taxes will go up (they need to look back in time).   The young people, same as the flower child from the 70's and the screamers connect from lack of intelligence or better, not experienced enough to look into their future and the future of their children.  They are rebellious enough not to care so they connect to "change".  You would think he was promising to legalize pot or something.  Then there are the news media and actors that just want to be different.  They think it is time to change and add some color to the stage and they connect because he stands out in the crowd and bs flows from his mouth like a love song.  They just don't get that he is not color, because he is not African American.  Obama is African Muslim American, one that was educated and stays in America, not a Patriot.  Now we can't leave out the g*y vote.  They want to be able to be married and why, because all it will mean is they will be spending a lot more money on divorce and looks like they'll have free healthcare anyway (and I am sure with Obama's upbringing, if what he said is true, he does not agree with but needs the votes). These topics seem to be the main frame of his platform cupple these with his stand on pulling out of Iraq, which is a little too late anyway, his electrodes will be connecting and lighting up a lot of  little lights tonight.

I wish for once in history the politicians would lay out their real plan, ideas and put them in writing so that after they forfiet on a certain percentage them they could then be replaced.  Unreal, I know but one thing you will never be able to take away is the ability to wish for something.
