  1. Hun I think you are over thinking things. Of course there are advantages, you can pick up on peoples emotions quicker than others can. You tend to take things to heart, and somehow relate it to yourself.

  2. It doesn't mean you are extra-sensitive. It means that you can feel and perceive things more than others. Like, when you're talking to people, you can see a lot more going on, and sense their feelings. It's a good thing in a lot of ways because you'll make a really good counselor. But also it means that you can take people the wrong way and get your feelings hurt a lot more by perceiving things that aren't there. With age you'll work on it and refine your sensitivity. Trust me :)

  3. I myself wasn't sure what it means to be a highly sensitive person, so I did a little research.  Try this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Highly_sens...

Maybe that will help you get a better understanding.  Good luck!

  4. It means that if you do not like our answers...you will probably report us.

  5. What does it mean? It means you're a pain in the @$$, especially to your husband/boyfriend.

  6. i would of thought it is a nice way of saying that you over react to everything...dont take this 2 personally lol :)

  7. Why did you not ask your counselor?

  8. No it doesn't mean you have Bipolar disorder it means you are very easily hurt.. you are highly strung and very emotional.. your emotions can get hurt very quickly.. You could burst into tears very easily over anything that slightly makes you feel emotional you can't control it.. and you may get hurt quickly when someone says something to you and take it as  an insult when in fact it was not meant in a rude way.. in other words.. you are normal but you lack self confidence.. quite a bit. you need to build that up.. if you believe in yourself you will also become a bit less sensitive and see when something is meant to hurt you on purpose or when it's just friendly teasing..

  9. I have Borderline Personality Disorder AND Rapid Cycling Bipolar. If you had these traits your couselor would've just told you the diagnosis, not sugar coat it for you by calling you highly sensitive. These are serious disorders and they require a lot of treatment and the symptoms aren't just being "moody"

Your counselor is just saying that you're highly sensitive in regards to your emotions...meaning that you probably let the people around you control your emotions. You just need to learn to relax.

  10. that means that the slightest bit of stimulant, excitement, anger, frustration, nervousness, fear or anything like that, will affect you more so than it would affect others.

you take things more at heart and more serious than others do

for example, if tom spilled his milk he would just clean it up, but if you did, you would cry about it and be really upset.

  11. It means you cry too much. Just like my girlfirend when I tell her she is fat. Man, that girl is huge.

  12. It just means that you may see slights against you when the statement was not to be a slight, and or you take any type of criticism way to harshly. Nothing to do with being Bipolar.

  13. Just sounds like you cannot take jokes easily or constructive criticism
