Age 3 would be the perfect age.  Nowadays Kindergarden has a lot to offer to a child, its more academics.  So if a child starts preschool at an early age it gives them a head start.  I am a preschool teacher myself and believe me there are so many advantages in preschool.  Of course, a high quality preschool

5 for me. Children should be learning the three r's from the age of 5, going to secondary school when they turn 11, and leaving at the age of 16. NOT 18 like the new stupid government plans are!!!! grr

I would recommend to start with 2-3 times per week for abt 3 hrs a day when they are 2.5 to 3 yrs old. And start with 5 days a week for 3 hrs a day until they are 5. And then a full day school

Preschool children are usually age 4.  Make sure you check out the school thoroughly and find out what they will be teaching your child.  Also, make sure your child knows their home phone number, full name and address BEFORE they start.

I recommend at least one year before entering Kindergarten (typically age 4).  Many preschool programs have 3 year old programs about 2 times a week.  This is a great intro to school for the children as well.  Seems like these children that have two years of preschool tend to transition into Kindergarten easier and have more success in general throughout their schooling.

as for me. all my children goes to school when they reach 3 years old. it helps them learn how to prepare for school and meet others young children like he or her age. it motivates them on what to expect and ofcourse everyday is challenging.

for me... they must go to school at the age of 4... because if they go 2-3 yrs old...they will get bored studying when they reach elementary years...if 5y/o its fine too

I own a private preschool and our children attend two years - the 3 year olds go on Tuesday and Thursday for a half a day and then the 4 year olds go on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for a half a day.  then they graduate and go off to kindergarten.

Don't send the child to any pre school.let him enjoy & teach at home itself.Your child will be over burdened by goin to school at such a little age.
