  1. You need to know that once you delete your Yahoo! I.D. it can't be reactivated.  Make sure to read this link thoroughly before you click the "Account Deletion".  You also have a choice of letting the account stay inactive for 4 months and Yahoo! will close it for inactivity.  Here is the link to close it out.

    Terminating your account means you'll lose access to the Yahoo! ID, Yahoo! Mail, and profile names associated with it. We'll also delete the account data and settings across the Yahoo! network. This includes any contents in:

    Yahoo! Mail

    Yahoo! Address Book

    Yahoo! HotJobs

    GeoCities

    Yahoo! Briefcase

    My Yahoo!

    Yahoo! Groups

    Finance Portfolio

    Any other area of Yahoo! that can only be accessed with your Yahoo! ID and password
