Accountant salary malaysia

Question

may i know how much is the accountant's salary in malaysia?

without experience, fresh graduate from Curtin University degree program. Double major in Finance and Accounting.

No experience in Accounting...fresh graduate...so you are not a member of any accountats' body ?   Hmmm that means you know almost nothing, practical- wise.    A double major ?  You may be excellent in theory(all talk), but very weak "on-the-job"....   Lucky if you can get RM1,500/month...there are lots like you...    However...With experience, and a "Fellow", the sky is the limit...start with RM15,,000/month....

hmm..it's hard for a while for a freshies to compete with other experience candidates in job hunting. unless you have a excellent result plus practical experience you might be good enough to get aroung RM2,000 in KL, but at Ipoh..RM1,500 are considered high for newbies.

If you have a professional certificate like ACCA, CPA Australia, MICPA or other relevant certified professional bodies..you will get higher salary up to RM3,000++.

Extra curricular activities are very important. especially if you want to get a job in the Big 4 audit firm, becouse they have a inter-audit firm sports..the trends right now, they not just want to find a clever candidates, but one that good in sports so that they can represent the firm in the sports.

An Australian degree eh ?! Not so sure, 3k maybe.

In Kuala Terrenganu or Kota Bharu about rm1,000 to rm 1,200

In Penang about rm1,500 to rm1,600

In KL about rm1,800

In KKinabalu rm1,600 to rm2,000( timber company)
