Hi,

If you have a CPA license from one state can you work in other states atlest as an accountant even though if you cant work as a CPA in other states.. friend of mine is eligable to work as a CPA in state of DE since you need only associate degree or BS with 21 semester hours in Accounting in state of de...but he can't work in other states since most state requires master degree to sit for the exam, and to hold a license as a CPA..so he can get a job as an accountant? i mean its possible to get a job as an accoutant when your holding a CPA license in other state...please let me know.

thank you

jason

  1. That really depends on what you mean by a job as an "accountant".  If they are working in an accounting firm in some capacity that does nor require a CPA, I would guess that they would be fine and there are a number of such positions.
