Accounting Major?

Question

Is accounting a good major in college?

What about finance?

Whats the difference?

Oh and what about Computer Information Systems??

What draws your attention more is more the question to be asked ~ however, anything where you understand more deeply in moving debits and credits around ~ meaning any financial understanding ~ will do you well.

Financial companies (of all sorts) trump any growth of any other businesses in the world today.

Accountants and financial people are always needed.

My son graduated from a university with an accounting degree 5 years and has yet to work in that field. He has had a middle management job with a telecommunications co.  I don't know if fianace would be a better degree or not.  SO many lay-offs going on right now it;s hard to tell
