Accounting? Treasurer?

What is the average income for certified public accountant? What might be the greatest earning per year that an accountant could make if they worked in Manhattan, NYC (probably on wall street)? In order to become a treasurer, you need to have some financial background. Could you start off as a CPA and then become a treasurer and if so, how long does it usually take? Would that be a good move? What would be the average income for a treasurer?
