  1. Finsh you high school IN A SCHOOL... and get a high school diploma that MEANS SOMETHING... Chances are your credits won't transfer... and what do you want to transfer them TO?... if you can't take it in High School how are you going to take it in college?

  2. www.lauralsprings.com, you can start anytime you want and just take the courses you need to finish, and they are accredited (highly accredited in fact).  I live in IL too, this school is the best I found, it is where I am sending my kids to next year (it is where Jordan Sparks and some kid from the "Heros" show graduated from - they also had a girl that scored the highest on the SAT's last year).

Also check out www.hslda.org, it is the legal site for home schools and they have a list of all the schools available online that are accredited.

You can even start courses at your local community college at the same time.  Good Luck!

  3. On this site you will see good information about ACCREDITED, high school.

  4. Try American School of Correspondence. They are an accredited private high school based in Lansing Illinois. Their website is: http://www.americanschoolofcorr.com/

They are inexpensive and generally efficient. I do recommend keeping copies of all work submitted. You can check the status of your work online.

  5. There's the Illinois Virtual High School.  You have to go through your school district to apply, and it may be too late for this semester.

Yes, it's too late to enroll, except for the "late start term", which has a February 11th deadline.

There are many online high schools, but they'll cost quite a lot (~$350/course/semester and up) and the credit transfer issue will be a problem.  With IVHS you'll have far fewer problems.

Personally, I think it would be much more work than it would be good if you only have one semester left.

  6. It would probably be best for you to finish at the school you're currently in.  You only have a few months left so just buckle down and get finished.
